I have a compulsory habit of breaking hardware. Luckily, sometimes, I
don't break the whole device, but only parts of it. Unfortunately, this
means there's lots of stuff lying around my floor, desk, etc.
Now here's the cool part: you can come and get those parts! (However,
some pieces aren't obsolete enough so you'll have to pay for them).
Some things I just found:
- Another broken laptop, this time it's an IBM Thinkpad ???.
I don't know why this thing broke down, but it has while I was preparing for
HAL 2001, which was a very cool event,
apart from the laptop breakdowns.
Parts which you can reuse: the display, CPU-board (Mobile Celeron 333 if I'm
not mistaken), and the floppy/CD-drive, housing, etc.
All this can be yours for EUR 150.
IBM Part numbers of the working parts: FIXME
- Floppy drive for Compaq Armada E500 and other models? (Slightly damaged,
still works); replacement part number: 159538-001
€ 25
If you're interested in buying one or more of these parts, please contact me.
All prices are negotiable, btw.
